**It's for questions *about* golfing and challenges.**

I don't know exactly what type of questions those might be (I'm not a golfer or programmer), but the word on the street is that back Somewhere Else there were questions *about* challenges (that weren't meta) that weren't challenges themselves. The Q&A category is meant to give those questions a space.

If it turns out to be superfluous, it can be removed or hidden, but for now it's there because there was a want for it when the community was launched.
