Should sandbox posts give rep? On one hand, keeping this feature motivates more people to use the sandbox. On the other hand, allowing people to gain rep twice for the same content seems wrong in some way. What does everyone think?

The Sandbox is intended to be a place for feedback, right? If I lost rep because my sandboxed idea wasn't good, I'd be pretty angry about that.
Don't have the Sandbox modify reputation; instead use upvotes/downvotes as votes of approval, and set a bar for which the question can then be posted on the main site.
I don't know if it's possible to migrate a question to the main site which would negate the problem entirely?
Update: we can do this more easily now. We can change the reputation grants per post type per category, both up and down, without creating a new post type. Sandbox posts would continue to use the Article post type, but would now grant whatever numbers y'all tell us to plug in.
Reputation from existing posts would be recalculated to use the new values (possibly after a delay). This will affect people with existing sandbox posts; I haven't looked to see who has a lot of sandbox posts, but the maximum upvotes right now on any single one is three, so with luck this wouldn't be too disruptive.
Please discuss and let us know what you'd like to do when you're ready. I'm happy to answer questions.

Resolution: at the request of a moderator based on discussion and voting here, I've just pushed this button:
As noted earlier, when the next reputation recalculation runs, people with existing sandbox posts will see their reps change.
Could it be possible to change the amount by which an upvote changes the rep? For example, a sandbox vote could be 1 rep, meaning that if you had a good idea you would still get rep, but it wouldn't influence the total rep too much.
